INSS seizes (200) thousand narcotic pills and dismantles an international drug trafficking network

    Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) announced on Friday, the seizure of (200) thousand narcotic pills and the dismantling of an international drug trafficking network in Baghdad.
     
    INSS stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the National Security Service detachments in Najaf Governorate, after obtaining judicial approvals, were able to dismantle an international drug network, arrest (3) of its accused members, and seize (200) thousand narcotic pills of the type (Captagon) in Baghdad."
     
    It pointed out that "the operation took place after intelligence efforts and following up on the drug network's route, which led to the discovery of innovative smuggling methods represented by hiding narcotic substances inside the frame of transport wheels and rice bags ."
