Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba announced today, Wednesday, in a conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the Ukrainian side's readiness to negotiate with Russia.
Kuleba said, "The Ukrainian side is ready to conduct dialogue and negotiations with the Russian side. Of course, the negotiations must be rational and have practical importance, aiming to achieve a just and lasting peace." According to what was quoted by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning.
For his part, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that “the solution to all conflicts must be done at the negotiating table.” The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman quoted Wang Yi as saying: “The Chinese side believes that the solution to all conflicts must be done at the negotiating table, and that all disputes be settled through political means.”
Wang Yi added, "Russia and Ukraine have recently expressed their readiness for negotiations to varying degrees, and although the conditions and opportunities have not yet matured, we support all efforts that will contribute to achieving peace."
