9 suspects arrested in al-Tarmiya and Mahmoudiya districts

The Baghdad Operations Command (BOC) announced on Thursday, that it is carrying out pre-emptive operations in the Tarmiyah and Mahmudiya districts, while noting that the operation resulted in the arrest of 9 defendants according to various legal articles.

A statement of BOC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “the formations of the Infantry Divisions (sixth and seventeenth) and the units attached to them, in coordination with the Intelligence and Security Department / our leadership, carried out proactive operations for regional search and inspection, armed reconnaissance, and set up temporary surprise controls in Tarmiya, Mahmoudiyah district) and the villages, countryside and orchards surrounding it.”

It pointed out, "The security operation resulted in the arrest of 9 defendants according to various legal articles, after checking their names in the database of those wanted by the Iraqi judiciary."
