The Security Media Cell-SMC announced on Tuesday, the killing of three terrorists during an airstrike within the Diyala Operations Command sector.
SMC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The airstrike, conducted yesterday by F-16 jets based on precise military intelligence and in coordination with the targeting cell of the Joint Operations Command, resulted in the discovery of three bodies today. Among them was a leader of ISIS. A joint force from the 1st Infantry Division and intelligence units inspected the airstrike site near Al-Azim Dam in Diyala. They also found destroyed terrorist hideouts, criminal tools, technical materials, logistics supplies, and other items."
"Continuously, the pressure mounts on the remaining elements of ISIS terrorist groups, owing to the substantial efforts of our security forces, meticulous intelligence operations, and prompt information handling," the statement added.
