IMN and ASBU discuss the Arab summit in Baghdad and several files

    The head of the Iraqi Media Network - IMN, Karim Hammadi, held a series of meetings with officials of the Arab States Broadcasting Union - ASBU on the sidelines of his participation in the 111th meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab States Broadcasting Union, Tunisia.


    Hammadi, the President of ASBU and the CEO of the Saudi Radio and Television Corporation, Muhammed Al-Harithi, discussed joint media cooperation and coordination on various issues, as well as the meetings of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, which will be held under the chairmanship of Iraq in 2025.


    Al-Harithi welcomed holding the upcoming Arab Media Forum in Iraq, noting that "Iraq is a country of civilization and history. Holding meetings of the Council of Arab Information Ministers in Baghdad will have a special status and taste."


    Hammadi also discussed with the First Vice President of ASBU, the media advisor to the Kuwaiti Minister of Information, Muhammed Al-Awash, bilateral cooperation in the media field and the importance of holding the Arab Media Forum in Iraq.


    Al-Awash welcomed Iraq's hosting of the upcoming activities of the Arab Media Forum, given Iraq's history and active presence in the Arab media arena.


    Hammadi highlighted the common matters that bring together Arab countries and the importance of shedding light on them in the media, most notably "the Palestinian issue, the war against the Gaza Strip, and the crimes committed by the Zionist entity against defenseless civilians."


    He stressed that "Iraq welcomes all its Arab brothers in Baghdad, which will host the Arab summit next year in addition to the meetings of the Council of Arab Information Ministers."
