Major General Abbas Al-Musawi, the Iraqi military attaché to the Russian Federation, along with fifty other military attachés from other countries attended the opening ceremony of the International Maritime Exhibition FLEET 2024, which was held on the grounds of the Forts recreation and tourism complex in Kronstadt. The convention and exhibition center hosted the event.
Companies involved in shipbuilding are showcasing their latest developments at the five-day defense show, which runs through Sunday, the FLEET-2024 press service said in a statement.
According to the exhibition organizers, representatives of 15 countries are exhibiting their achievements in producing arms, equipment and associated products for the navy.
The participating companies are involved in shipbuilding and boatbuilding, weapon and armament production, combat command and control systems, navigation and communications systems, ship propulsion plants, maritime aviation, support infrastructure, new technologies, and advanced materials, it said.
The exhibition is being held for the 12th time, and this year at a new venue – the Museum of Naval Glory – at the convention and exhibition center on the territory of the tourist and recreational cluster Island of Forts in Kronstadt.
