PM confirms the government’s commitment to the rights of survivors and attention to the file of missing persons

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani affirmed, today, Thursday, the government’s commitment to the rights of survivors and attention to the file of missing persons.

    The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) - that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received a group of women from the Nineveh Plain, Sinjar and Tal Afar regions, survivors of ISIS terrorist gangs, from the Yazidi, Shabak, Turkmen and Christian components on the tenth anniversary of the occupation of Mosul.

    The statement added, "Al-Sudani listened with interest to the speech of the women who reviewed their tragic stories, their conditions at the present time, and their need to complete some procedures for activating the Survivors Law, and their appeal to complete service projects in the Nineveh Plain," urging "survivors to return to their areas of residence, especially after establishing security there, and allocating a special fund to support the reconstruction operations of Sinjar District and the Nineveh Plain areas.”

    The Prime Minister expressed his “great appreciation for the Iraqi women survivors from various components, and his pride in their steadfastness and courage in the face of the heinous attack they were subjected to, at the hands of brutal gangs who possess a deviant ideology that has no connection to any religion or nationality, and that victory was achieved thanks to great blood and sacrifices.” “The great diversity,” stressing that “diversity in Iraq is a factor of strength, and that all components have lived for decades in an atmosphere of harmony, brotherhood, and harmony.”

    Al-Sudani reviewed “the government procedures for dealing with the rights of survivors,” and stated, “The competent authorities are in the process of completing financial allocations to them,” stressing, “the government’s commitment to guaranteeing the rights of all women survivors, accelerating their procedures, and providing justice to this segment that has suffered greatly due to terrorism.”

    Al-Sudani stressed, "The government's commitment to tracking down missing persons and missing persons and the security and intelligence coordination required to return them to their families, as any information obtained regarding missing persons is tracked."
