The Ministry of Oil announced on Tuesday, that by the end of the current year, 78 percent of all produced gas in Iraq will be utilized for investment purposes.
Deputy Minister of Oil for Gas Affairs, Azat Saber Ismail, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The Ministry will inaugurate the Halfaya project this month, with a capacity exceeding 300 million standard cubic feet per day," clarifying that "65 percent of all produced gas has already been invested."
He further stated that "by the end of the current year, 78 percent of all produced gas will be utilized for investment, which will contribute to minimizing gas flaring to the lowest possible level."
