MOE sponsors the 24th International Scientific Conference at the College of Dentistry

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research sponsored today, Saturday,  the twenty-fourth international scientific conference, which was held by the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad.

The Ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad held the twenty-fourth international scientific conference, under the slogan of comprehensive and distinguished education, the basis of creativity and innovation, for the period from June 7-8, 2024, with the participation of Arab and foreign researchers, Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, and in the presence of the Scientific Assistant to the President of the University of Baghdad, Suhail Najm Abdullah.

The statement added, "The conference aims to enhance scientific and research communication, through the participation of international researchers and lecturers, to discuss and review the latest experiences, developments and innovations in the field of dentistry."

Dean of the College, Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al Hashemi, said: “The conference represents a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences between researchers and lecturers from various countries, and to deepen academic relations and international cooperation in the field of dentistry.”

Al-Hashimi pointed out, “The conference aims to develop medical education and update the curriculum in line with the latest innovations and technologies in dentistry, which contributes to raising the level of competencies and skills among students and practitioners.”

The statement continued, "The conference included several lectures and scientific sessions, which addressed various topics such as the use of modern technology in diagnosing and treating oral and dental diseases, dental implants, and cosmetic dental techniques, in addition to discussing challenges and opportunities in the field of dental research and medical education."

Regarding the role of the Ministry of Higher Education in supporting these events, Al-Hashimi stressed, “The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, constantly urges the importance of supporting scientific research and encouraging innovation in the medical field, and believes that these conferences play a vital role in developing scientific and research capabilities and enhancing the position of Iraq on the international academic scene.
