IMN Head and The French Embassy agree to Advance Media Personnel Development Project

    The head of the Iraqi Media Network-IMN, Karim Hamadi, agreed on Tuesday with the delegation of the French Academy at the French Embassy in Iraq to continue the project to develop media cadres, while Hamadi emphasized that IMN will choose creative cadres to develop the capabilities of its staff on media level.
     
    During the visit of the French delegation to IMN HQ, Hamadi reiterated his commitment to "sustaining media collaboration with the French Academy and continuing the media initiative initiated two years ago to enhance the skills of IMN's media personnel through program exchange, training, and capacity-building."

     

    He affirmed that “IMN will select proficient individuals to enhance their media skills, as well as benefit from the training of other colleagues within IMN ."

    On his part, Pascal Ross, the Advisor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities at the French Embassy in Iraq, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The French Embassy in Iraq is proud and delighted to implement the project in partnership with the Iraqi Media Network and the College of Media at the University of Baghdad."

    He added: "We have produced 75 developmental video clips that will be available to everyone and free of charge to benefit from their media content, especially for journalists and media workers in media institutions, and we are in the process of considering the completion of other future projects, whether with the Iraqi Media Network or the University of Baghdad."

    He continued, "France attaches great importance to the field of journalism and media worldwide, opening avenues for cooperation and constructive dialogue to enhance the capabilities and efficiency of the media."
