Al Halabousi meets King Salman bin Abdul Aziz

    The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Mohammed Al Halabousi  met Monday with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz in the framework of his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, means of strengthening them to ensure the interests of the two brotherly peoples and the latest developments on the local and regional arenas.

    Iraq is keen to develop its relationship with its Arab and regional environment through joint coordination and at all levels, especially on the economic and investment levels, and to support trade exchange and the opening and development of border crossings.

    He stressed the importance of sister countries to play a role in the reconstruction of Iraq, Especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its companies and expertise will contribute to the rehabilitation of many cities that have been affected by terrorism or those that lack services and infrastructure.

    Al Halabousi thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the initiative of the Government in developing the Arar border port between the two countries and the establishment of a sports stadium in Baghdad, as well as the allocation of funds for the reconstruction of Iraq at the Kuwait Conference.
