Minister of Health, Salih Al-Hasnawi called for launching a global relief campaign for the Gaza Strip, stressing Iraq’s readiness to receive more wounded Palestinian people.
“Iraq supports the Palestinian cause continuously and in principle,” said Al-Hasnawi in his speech on the sidelines of the summit conference of the World Health Organization General Assembly 77 in Geneva, followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He called for “a unified international position for a ceasefire, immediately, and launching a global relief campaign for the Gaza Strip.”
"We received the first batch of wounded and sick Palestinians for treatment in Iraq, based on the direction of PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, as we are ready to receive other batches," he highlighted.
