The head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, Humam Hammoudi, on Monday offered condolences on the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Hammoudi expressed profound sorrow, stating, “With great sadness, we received the tragic news of the martyrdom of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in the helicopter crash last Sunday night”.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sayyad Ali Khamenei, and the esteemed Iranian people”, he added.
