JUST NOW: Hamas agrees to the ceasefire proposal

Hamas announced on Monday its approval of a ceasefire proposal in Gaza.

A statement by the movement, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: “The head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, made a phone call with the Qatari Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, and with the Egyptian Minister of Intelligence, Abbas Kamel, and informed them of the Hamas movement’s approval of their proposal regarding a ceasefire agreement.".
