Sheikh Khazali calls Haniyeh and confirms: Iraq committed to its firm position in supporting the Palestinian cause

The Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, discussed with the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, the developments in the situation in Gaza and the victories achieved by the resistance, and stressed Iraq’s commitment to its firm position in supporting the Palestinian cause.

The office of the Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Sheikh Qais al-Khazali discussed, during a phone call with the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, developments in the military situation and the victories achieved by the Palestinian Islamic resistance in its battle against the Zionist entity."

Sheikh Al-Khazali stressed, “The Iraqi people, government, and resistance are committed to their firm position in supporting the Palestinian cause,” pointing out, “All the honorable Iraqi people support the Palestinian people, their just cause, and their victorious resistance as they write the most wonderful heroic epics in the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation."

Sheikh Khazali added, "The Iraqi resistance factions, with their coordination bodies, are fully prepared for any action required of them to liberate Holy Jerusalem and support the Palestinian people."

The statement continued, “Haniyeh, for his part, stressed that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation was very precise and intense, which caused the Zionist enemy to lose its balance and make it flounder, and that all the enemy is doing now is trying to restore the respect it has lost forever, through punishment operations  massacres affecting civilians in Gaza."

According to the statement, Haniyeh called for “a general mobilization of everyone who can go to Palestine and break the borders with the Zionist occupation. He also directed a call to the Islamic peoples to wage financial jihad to support the Palestinian people who are suffering from an unjust and brutal siege."

Haniyeh expressed his sincere thanks to the Iraqi people for their position, stressing that “the attention of the Palestinian people and the resistance is directed to them in this sensitive, important and critical historical circumstance."
