Parliament Speaker congratulates Iraqis for its qualification to the Paris Olympics

Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, the Speaker of th Iraqi Parliament , congratulated the national Olympic team for its qualification to the Paris Olympics.

Al-Mandalawi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We congratulate our Olympic team and the sports fans for the valuable victory over the Indonesian team and snatching the direct qualification ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics.”.

He added, "A distinguished and great performance and fighting spirit by our heroic players in order to make our Iraqi people happy. All support and assistance is given to them as they represent Iraq in the most important sports forum, the Paris Olympics.".

This Thursday evening, our Iraqi national Olympic team qualified for the Paris Olympics, after defeating its Indonesian counterpart by two goals to one in the match to determine third and fourth place in the Asian Olympic qualifying competitions.
