PM congratulates the National Olympic Team on its qualification to Paris Olympics

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani congratulated today, Thursday, the national Olympic team on its qualification to the Paris Olympics.

The Prime Minister said in a blog post on the X platform, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We salute our heroes, the youth of the Olympic football team, for their qualification to the Paris Olympics.”

The Prime Minister extended "profound thanks to the training staff, technicians, and officials of the Football Association," addressing them by saying, "You, heroes, have raised the name of Iraq high, and you were up to the responsibility in representing our dear homeland."

This Thursday evening, our Iraqi national Olympic team qualified for the Paris Olympics, after defeating its Indonesian counterpart by two goals to one in the match to determine third and fourth places for the Asian Olympic qualifying competitions.
