Parliament ends amending the Equivalence certificate law of Arab and foreign

    The Parliament finished on Tuesday, discussing the proposal to amend the law establishing the equivalence of Arab and foreign certificates and academic degrees while deciding to adjourn its session.

    "The Parliament completed the first reading of the proposal for a law on union organization for workers and craft employees in Iraq. The Parliament also completed the first reading of the draft law on the Republic of Iraq’s accession to the Kigali Protocol for the year 2016 Fifth Amendment to the Montreal Protocol Concerning Substances that Deplete the Ozone of 1987 annexed to the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone of 1985,” according to a statement by the Parliament's Media Department received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The statement included, "The Parliament completed the first reading of the proposal for the third amendment to the law on compensation for those affected who lost part of their bodies as a result of the defunct regime No.5 of 2009, as amended," noting that "the Parliament has completed the first reading of the proposal for the second amendment to the Law on the Institution of Political Prisoners No.4 of the amended year 2006.”

    "The report and discussion were completed of the proposed law on the first amendment to the Law on the Foundations of Equivalence of Arab and Foreign Academic Certificates and Degrees No. (20) of 2020," according to the statement.
