The Development Road will enhance the region economically, says PM Al-Sudani

    INA - BAGHDAD
    Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani confirmed on Monday, "we will not allow any force to use Iraqi lands as a launching area for attacking neighboring countries while indicating that the Development Road will enhance the region economically."

    “Our policy depends on balance. We have principles based on common interests and good neighborliness. Various agreements have been signed with the Turkish side regarding the water. The agreements will modernize irrigation systems for a period of 10 years, and its impact will be clearly felt, especially with regard to Iraq's water shares," said PM Al-Sudani during the joint press conference with Erdogan at the government palace, Baghdad followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
     
    Al-Sudani highlighted, “Today, a four-way memorandum of understanding was signed, which includes the principles of the Development Road. It will enhance the region economically,” pointing out, “The Development Road is not only to shorten distances but will turn into a bridge linking peoples of the region and its cultures. The Development Road will support security and stability in the region.”

    Bilateral security between was discussed as he stressed that “the security of Turkey and Iraq is one indivisible unit.”
    Al-Sudani noted, “We start from the Iraqi constitution and adhere to not allow any force to use Iraqi land as a launching area for attacking the neighboring countries,” stressing that “Al-Quds is an Islamic symbol and insulting Palestinian sanctities is unacceptable.”
