Al-Mandalawi stresses the importance of accelerating the completion of the steps to activate the development path

The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, stressed today, Wednesday, the importance of accelerating the completion of the steps to activate the development path.
 
 
The media office of the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and the parliamentary delegation accompanying him, met with the Grand Speaker of the Turkish National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş, in the presence of the Iraqi parliamentary delegation and a number of Turkish representatives.” During the meeting, they talked about the role and status of Iraq at the diplomatic level in order to establish peace and stability in the region, the strategic importance of its geographical location, and the necessity of accelerating the completion of the steps to activate the development road project and the economic progress and tremendous investment opportunities it provides for the two countries and the region, in addition to discussing a number of files, most notably water and security.”
 
For his part, the Speaker of the Turkish National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş, said, “Turkey considers Iraqi territorial integrity a basis for bringing peace to the region,” noting that “the upcoming visit of Turkish President Erdogan to Iraq will include the signing of important agreements and memorandums of understanding, while his country is keen to provide all which leads to the renaissance and development of Iraq.”
