Al-Sudani Receives U.S. Congressman Mr. Seth Moulton

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani welcomed U.S. Democratic Congressman Seth Moulton at the Prime Minister's residence in Washington D.C.
 
Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani received, at his residence in the American capital, Washington, at dawn today (Baghdad time), the head of the Democratic Caucus in the US House of Representatives, Seth Molten.
"The meeting focused on the bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States, with discussions on the Iraqi government's intention to transition the relationship beyond security and military aspects to broader areas in economic, oil, cultural sectors, as well as in education and investment, in line with the Strategic Framework Agreement.
 
The meeting also commended the Iraqi government's reform measures and approach in strengthening the economy, and its steps to enhance security and stability efforts in Iraq and the region.
 
The discussions covered the situation in Gaza, emphasizing the urgent need to stop the war and protect unarmed civilians, and children and women, in a way that enhances the stability and security of the region.
