Coordination Framework: Our full support for the PM’s visit to Washington

The Coordination Framework affirmed the full support for the government and the Iraqi delegation headed by PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani in Washington.

“In light of the difficult challenges the region is witnessing, Iraq is experiencing clear stability in light of the combined efforts of the people, authorities, and relevant institutions," included a statement of the Coordination Framework received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement highlighted, "Iraq looks forward to building strong international relations to complete the development strategy by consolidating those relations on sound foundations that rely on the full sovereignty of the Iraqi decision and mutual interests with countries."

"PM Al-Sudani's visit and his accompanying delegation to the US, we hope will achieve progress in the relationship between Iraq and the US, at various levels, especially energy, investment, economy, and technology."

The Framework affirmed, according to the statement, “full support for the government and the Iraqi delegation headed by Al-Sudani, and the aspiration for an Iraqi role to achieve stopping the aggression against Gaza, preventing the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East region, and for the visit to establish a sustainable bilateral strategic partnership with the US, especially after the end of the international coalition’s mission, and preparing to schedule withdrawal and Iraq’s desire to build bilateral relations with the main parties in the coalition, especially the US, as well as for this relationship to be based on mutual respect and the preservation of Iraq’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.”
