President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid affirmed, on Wednesday, Iraq's desire to improve relations with Tunisia.
The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received a phone call from the President of the Tunisian Republic, Kais Saied.”
"During the call, the Tunisian President extended his congratulations to the President on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and to the Iraqi people," expressing his "keenness to develop bilateral relations and consolidate cooperation in all fields."
The President of the Republic stressed according to the statement “Iraq’s desire to advance relations between the two brotherly countries in order to achieve the interests of the two peoples in stability and progress.”
