The Iraqi parliamentary delegation discusses with its Omani counterpart in Geneva the strengthening of bilateral relations

    The Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Shahkhawan Abdullah today, Saturday, discussed with his Omani counterpart in Geneva the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.

    The media office of the head of the Iraqi delegation stated in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “on the sidelines of the activities and work of the (148th) session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Switzerland - Geneva, the Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed and in the presence of members of the delegation held a meeting today, Saturday, a meeting was held with the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman, headed by Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Saadi.

    The statement added, "During the meeting, topics related to strengthening bilateral relations in all fields between the two brotherly countries were discussed and discussed," while the head of the Iraqi delegation stressed, "the importance of coordinating positions toward regional and international issues and the events and developments taking place at the world level," stressing "Iraq looks forward to expanding the volume of cooperation with brotherly countries and supporting efforts and endeavors aimed at establishing the foundations of stability in the region," he said.
