Prime Minister will visit Washington on April 15

    The White House announced today, Friday that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani will visit Washington on April 15.
     
     
    White House Press Secretary Karen Gunn said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani will meet US President Joe Biden at the White House next April 15.”
    She added, "The visit comes to coordinate on common priorities and strengthen the strong bilateral partnership between the United States and Iraq."
    The meeting aims to discuss the future relationship following the Global Coalition against Daesh and the best ways to transition to a comprehensive partnership between the Republic of Iraq and the United States in light of the Strategic Framework Agreement between the two countries in political, economic, financial, cultural, educational, and security fields.

    Prime Minister Al-Sudani and President Biden will consult on a range of issues, including the most important regional issues and efforts to enhance stability in the region.
