28 killed in road crashes across country in 4 days

    At least 28 people were killed and 76 others injured in 12 road crashes across the country in the last four days till Monday.
     
    In Cox’s Bazar, three people were killed and 20 others injured as a bus carrying picnickers overturned on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in Ramu upazila on Monday.
     

    However, the identities of the deceased could not be known. According to witnesses, the picnic bus carrying 30-35 people turned turtle in front of Ramu Upazila Health Complex at 7:00am, leaving three people dead on the spot and 20 others injured.
     
    Fifteen of the injured were admitted to Ramu Upazila Health Complex. Later, five critically-injured passengers were sent to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.
     
    In Mymensingh, three people were killed in a road accident at Boilore in Trishal upazila on Sunday.
     
    Police and witnesses said a motorcycle carrying two people knocked down a pedestrian. Later, the two-wheeler overturned, leaving the trio injured severely.
     
    Later, the injured were sent to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
