Judge Haider Hanoun, who is in charge of the Integrity Commission, disclosed the accused' fates on Friday in the theft of the century case. He also confirmed that the trial of Nour Zuhair, the principal accused, and thirty other defendants is scheduled to take place shortly.

"The case of Nour Zuhair is currently with the judiciary to complete the proceedings of the case, and currently there are more than 30 individuals, some of whom are detained, others are fugitives, and some of them are shackled," Hanoun said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

"The investigation court is working to complete some of the funds, and then we will rejoice in a fair verdict for those who stole the people's money," he continued. "After that, they will go to the court of first instance to be tried according to the law."

"There are some details that he has reached and is collecting evidence towards the rest of the parties involved in the case," first judge Diaa Jaafar of the Karkh Investigation Court had earlier confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), pointing out that "the case of the theft of the century is not related to the accused Nour Zuhair only, but to many parties and leaders within the previous government who facilitated and planned to seize these funds."

He stated, "We are very close to taking legal action against him after completing the evidence. Investigations into the case are ongoing, and new arrest warrants have been issued against two government figures, one of whom has been clearly charged." The other individual faced legal action, an arrest warrant was issued for him, and he was connected to a significant government agency from the previous administration. He is currently being tracked down globally in order to retrieve him from one of the nations."
