CBI issues a fresh alert regarding financial scams

The Iraqi Central Bank issued a fresh warning against financial fraud on Thursday.

The Central Bank of Iraq alerts the public to instances of financial fraud committed by several exchange companies (not licensed by this bank) that purport to arrange transactions for citizens with the intention of purchasing cars on their behalf, according to a statement from the bank's media office obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

According to the statement, the Central Bank invites people to use the Central Bank's official website to confirm and validate the work of these companies through the following link https://cbi.iq/page/25, as well as to confirm the financial institutions that the bank has authorized and licensed to provide electronic services to the government sector, you can visit the following link: https://cbi.iq/page/94”.
 
The statement said, "If such cases are detected, please inform the competent security authorities."
