Al-Araji: Iraqi delegation’s visit to Syria embodies the prime minister’s vision to keep Iraq out of conflicts

    Former Deputy Prime Minister Bahaa Al-Araji affirmed today, Friday, that the positive outcomes of the Iraqi delegation's visit to Syria underscore the Prime Minister's commitment to distancing Iraq from regional conflicts.

    In a tweet followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Araji stated, "The visit of the Iraqi delegation to Syria and its return with positive messages and assurances exemplifies Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani's pragmatic approach to matters linked to national security and social peace. It is a continuation of his efforts to steer Iraq clear of regional conflicts."

    Earlier, government spokesperson Bassim Al-Awadi confirmed that an Iraqi delegation, headed by the Director of the Intelligence Service, met with the new Syrian administration in Damascus.

    Speaking to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Awadi said, "An Iraqi delegation, led by the Director of the Intelligence Service, Hamid Al-Shatri, met with the new Syrian Authority to discuss developments on the Syrian front and the requirements for security and stability along the shared borders between the two countries."
