SMC announces the launch of the first stage of the second "Waad al-Haq” operations

Today, Sunday, the Security Media Cell SMC announced the launch of the first stage of the second Waad al-Haq” operations.

 SMC stated in a statement received by Iraqi news agency( INA ) "According to the directives of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and with the planning of the Joint Operations Command - JOC , the second Waad al-Haq” operations was launched at dawn today on its first stage, within Al-Jazeera, Anbar and holy Karbala operations command sectors”.

 The statement added "Forces from Defense and Interior Ministries, the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Anti-Terrorism Service with the support of the Air Force, Army aircraft and some service and support categories, participated in this stage, which is supervised by the deputy commander of joint operations, accompanied by the ground forces commander, the Director of Popular Mobilization operations and staff officers".

 The statement continued  " this operation comes based on intelligence information to put pressure on terrorist detachments and clear the desert of their remnants, reaching the international borders in cooperation and coordination with the border forces", pointing out that "the security sectors have set their goals at this stage and have drawn up plans to implement them to defeat the remaining elements of the terrorist gangs Daesh and destroy their dens”.
