Rashid receives the new Governors of a number of provinces

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed ,on Thursday, the importance of that Governors should improve the reality of their governorates, pointing out that serving citizens and relieving burdens on them is a great mission and a living embodiment of the close relationship and professional commitment between the official and the Citizen.

"The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today at the Baghdad Palace, the new Governors of a number of provinces" ,indicating that "during the reception, the Republican decrees on the appointment of the governors of Baghdad, Nineveh, Anbar, Diwaniyah, Dhi Qar, Karbala, Muthanna, Maysan, Najaf and Wasit were handed over” stated the Presidency of the Republic in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA .

“The president of the Republic congratulated the governors on assuming their new positions”, stressing that "serving citizens and relieving burdens on them is a lofty mission  and a living embodiment of the close relationship and professional commitment between the official and The Citizen "the statement added.

The President of the Republic stressed " the importance of that Governors should improve the reality of their governorates to achieve the aspirations of their people and meet all their needs, and work to strengthen national affiliation and consolidate the values of citizenship" pointing to "the importance of communication with Citizen and attention to their issues and keenness to provide the best”.

He pointed out that" local governments embody the link in identifying the requirements of citizens and submitting them to the executive authority to put them in the form of projects and decisions that meet these requirements "pointing out  "the need for concerted efforts to support the government in the implementation of its program, especially in the field of consolidating security stability, rehabilitating infrastructure and improving the standard of Iraqis living”.

He stressed that " the doors of the Presidency of the Republic are open to governors, support their efforts in the development of their governorates, and work together to overcome the obstacles facing them by organizing periodic meetings to discuss plans to upgrade the services provided to citizens" expressing his desire to visit the governorates and see their needs and requirements”.

In turn, the Governors expressed their " appreciation for the valuable directives of the President of the Republic" stressing their determination "to improve the conditions of their governorates, serve citizens and face challenges in the service fields, energy, environmental and climate changes, in order to achieve comprehensive development and open future prospects for economic and investment events in the Country”.
