President Saleh Received Qatari Foreign Minister

    President of Republic Dr. Barham Saleh received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad on Wednesday Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani. At the beginning of the meeting, President Barham Saleh welcomed Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani and stressing the importance of enhance and developing brotherly relations and cooperation with the State of Qatar in a manner consistent with the status of the two brotherly countries and serving the interests of their peoples. They discussed the situations in the region, need to reduce tension and to create a common regional system based on economic cooperation and integration among the countries of the region. For his part, the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister conveyed to the President the greetings and congratulations of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on occasion of assuming the presidency of Republic, stressing Qatar's desire to strengthen its relations with Iraq in all fields.
