Iraqi Parliament congratulates on New Year's Eve

The Iraqi Parliament congratulated, on Tuesday, on the occasion of the New Year, while expressing hope for it will be a year of security, progress and prosperity.
 
"On the occasion of Christmas and New Year's Eve, I congratulate you all on these happy occasions, and I ask God Almighty that these holidays be an opportunity to enhance love and brotherhood among the people of the homeland, and to bring us all a new year full of peace, security and prosperity," said the Speaker of the Parliament, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, on X - followed by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
 
He added, "We ask Him, the Most High, that these occasions be a haven of joy and hope, and that the new year be a year of goodness and blessings for all of Iraq and Iraqis."
 
In turn, the First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Muhsin Al-Mandalawi, offered his congratulations, saying in a statement received by INA: "We are pleased to extend our sincere congratulations and best wishes to our dear Iraqi people and the peoples of the world on the occasion of the New Year," expressing his hope that "this year will bring good tidings to humanity, and that all countries of the region and the world will enjoy security, safety, progress and prosperity."
 
Al-Mandalawi stressed the "need to work with dedication for a unified and independent Iraq in which harmony and brotherhood prevail among its various sects."
 
"We must not forget to recall the humanitarian tragedy suffered by our brothers in Palestine, the crimes of genocide committed by the Zionist killing machine against them, and the flagrant violations of human rights and international laws," he added, calling for "a serious stand to defend the oppressed, hold criminals accountable, and international solidarity to establish the principles of justice and peace."
 
In this regard, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Shakhawan Abdullah congratulated the Iraqi people with all their components, spectrums and diversity on the occasion of the New Year.
 
“Abdullah offered his warmest congratulations and blessings to the sons of our Iraqi people with all their components, spectrums and beautiful and authentic diversity and to our people in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq on the occasion of the New Year 2025, hoping that it will be a year of stability, prosperity and sustainable development, providing job opportunities for young people and improving the reality of services in order to end the suffering of citizens in all parts of the country,” according to a statement by the media office of the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
