The role of the Iraqi judiciary and its support for the ministry were praised by Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari on Thursday. He also noted that the interior ministry and the judiciary work together to enforce security and fight crime.
Iraqi News Agency (INA) obtained a statement from the ministry stating that "Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari visited the Kirkuk Court of Appeal today and met with its president, Qassim Muhammad Suleiman."
Al-Shammari described the Ministry of Interior and the Iraqi judiciary as "one hand in combating crimes and imposing security," and praised "the role of the judiciary and its support for the Ministry of Interior."
"Kirkuk is witnessing progress thanks to sacrifices and joint work," the head of the Court of Appeal stated. "The role of the security forces is important and significant in supporting the role of the judiciary."
