NASA specialists have managed to restore communication with the Ingenuity helicopter on Mars. This is stated in the message of the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory on the X platform, writes Engadget.
As you know, the Ingenuity helicopter sends data to the Perseverance rover, which transmits it to Earth. During the next flight on Mars on January 18, communication with the vehicle was lost.
The Ingenuity mission to Mars began on April 3, 2021. The helicopter made its first extraterrestrial flight on April 19, 2021. Ingenuity is just a technology demonstrator, so its mission included 5 flights and was supposed to last 30 days.
However, Ingenuity continues to fly on Mars. It has already had some problems in the course of its work. For example, last year in April, the helicopter also lost contact. It was restored after two months of silence.
