In support of the Palestinian cause, Culture Ministry hosts an art exhibition

    In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture's Women's Empowerment Departments and the Iraqi Media Network, the Department of Public Arts at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities organized an art exhibition on the sidelines of the announcement that Baghdad will serve as the Arab Women's Capital in 2023.
     
    The exhibition focused on the support of Iraqi women and their solidarity with Palestinian women in Gaza. In the presence of several outstanding artists, the Director General of the Department of Public Arts, Ali Owaid Al-Abadi, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Fadhel Al-Badrani.
     
    "The Department of Public Arts, under the auspices of Minister of Culture Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, designed a fine arts wall to support the Palestinian cause, specifically the Palestinian brave woman," stated Ali Owaid Al-Abadi, Director General of the Department of Public Arts at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    "The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities had a moral and humanitarian duty to support the Palestinian people because they are being subjected to an unprecedented human genocide at the hands of the occupying invaders," he proceeded.
     
     
    More than sixty fine artists represented the living human conscience towards Palestine through their paintings, he pointed out, adding that the Ministry of Culture has a genuine humanitarian obligation to organize such exhibitions in support of the Palestinian people.
     
    "The exhibition shed light on a number of drawings that embodied the severe violations suffered by Palestinian women and the Palestinian people, including killing, displacement, and extermination after a hundred days of these horrific events," said Nada Al-Jubouri, a former MP and the director of the Iraqi Women and Future Organization, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency
    (INA).

    "I took part in a painting that embodied the suffering of the Palestinian people, measuring one meter and 80 cm, in which beautiful acrylic colors were used, which were eye-catching," fine artist Sarab Ibrahim told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    "I had a solidarity participation in the exhibition through my participation in one painting entitled cry against aggression" embodied an Israeli warplane bombing a stroller for a child in Gaza," fine artist Ali Kadhim said to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
