The first annual exhibition for female fine artists kicks off in Maysan

     The Fine Artists Association, Maysan branch, organized on Saturday the first annual exhibition for female fine artists, with the participation of more than 16 female artists.

     
    The exhibition was held in the Association Hall in the city center of Al-Amarah and was attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     

    "This exhibition is the first of its kind for female fine artists in the province, and I hope the local government will support this place and pay attention to the fine art and all the kinds of art in general,” The head of the association's branch in Maysan, artist Zahid Al-Saadi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    Al-Saadi pointed out that "The exhibition included 63 artworks, in various schools and different mechanisms of artistic work.”


    The fine artist, Saba Al-Aqili, said: "I participated with the other female artists in this exhibition with twenty paintings, showing the bright face of Maysan Governorate within impressionist art schools."

    She added, "My paintings participating in the exhibition represent my experience in Fine art, which spanned more than a decade, and I wish if t the concerned authorities pay more attention to fine art and prepare suitable halls to display these artworks."
     
    In turn, the artist, Muhammad Jassim Al-Rassam, confirmed that, "With self-efforts, the artists were able to hold this exhibition with the support of the Fine Artists Association in Baghdad."
