Al-Hasnawi unveils facilities to advance Iraq's pharmaceutical industry

    Saleh Al-Hasnawi, the minister of health, announced facilities for the improvement of the pharmaceutical industry in Iraq on Thursday.
     
    In a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry of Health stated that "On Thursday, January 18, 2024, in the presence of several officials and general managers at the ministry, health minister Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi chaired a meeting at the ministry's headquarters with the owners of national pharmaceutical factories in the private sector."

    "The importance of attention and support for the national product and the development of the pharmaceutical industry, which are among the priorities of the government program," the statement said of Al-Hasnawi's emphasis.
     
    He called on the owners of national pharmaceutical factories to "take advantage of these facilities and open new production lines according to the Ministry of Health and the private sector with quality assurance," pointing out that "the Ministry of Health provided unprecedented support to the owners of national pharmaceutical factories through a series of facilities that contributed significantly to the advancement of the pharmaceutical sector."
