PM: Investment opportunities for the pharmaceutical industry are now available to all companies

    Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani affirmed today, Thursday, that investment opportunities for the pharmaceutical industry are now available to all companies, while stressing the importance that the work of pharmaceutical factories is not limited to packaging and that they contribute to production.
    A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said, "The Prime Minister chaired a meeting that included representatives of the Synagin Group company for the production of cancer drugs, the Baxter company for the production of dialysis solutions, and officials of the National Health Factory in the Ministry of Health, in the presence of a number of advisors."

    According to the statement, the meeting witnessed a discussion of mechanisms to support the localization of the pharmaceutical industry in Iraq, by the private sector and the National Health Factory, while Al-Sudani was briefed on a detailed presentation of the capabilities of the companies, the most prominent of their work in other countries, and their willingness to transfer knowledge and technology to Iraq, as well as support for the establishment of an industrial city Pharmaceutical, attracting companies interested in the pharmaceutical industry."
    The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, that "investment opportunities for the pharmaceutical industry are now available to all companies to enter this promising sector, stressing the importance of transferring the entire technology of the pharmaceutical industry in the form of stages, and that the work of pharmaceutical factories is not limited to packaging , but rather that they contribute to production."

    Prime Minister expressed his welcome to companies wishing to work in the pharmaceutical sector in Iraq, which tops the government's concerns, according to the statement, noting that a series of meetings were held earlier with local and foreign producers, which came out with a package of measures, which included providing facilities in the field of registration, and customs and tax exemptions for materials In addition to the basic equipment and devices in the manufacture of medical products, as well as the government's readiness to facilitate the granting of loans to establish factories and increase production lines."

    Al-Sudani referred to the successful experience in the partnership between the private and public sectors, represented by the National Health Factory."
