Iraq: The government introduced necessary technical skills for AI into schools

    INA - BAGHDAD

    PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani met on Tuesday, with the Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization, Deemah Al-Yahya, on the sidelines of Davos 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.

    Al-Sudani emphasized that "the government is incorporating essential technical skills for artificial intelligence - AI into school curricula. This initiative aims to equip the Iraqi workforce with the necessary qualifications to compete globally in the future labor market," according to a statement by PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    He also emphasized that "the government plans to leverage artificial intelligence in water and agriculture, highlighting Iraq's need for support in digital health, the transition towards the digital economy in the banking sector, and training initiatives."

    In turn, Al-Yahya conveyed her positive response to PM Al-Sudani's proposal and extended an invitation for Iraq to join the Digital Cooperation Organization.
