PM: Yugoimport Company will rehabilitate Commanding Officers Club in Baghdad

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced today, Saturday, the launch of work on the project to rehabilitate the Commanding Officers Club in Baghdad.

    The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani announced this afternoon the launch of work on the project to rehabilitate and develop the Commanding Officers Club, in the center of the capital, Baghdad, which the Council of Ministers had previously voted on, and referred it to the Serbian company that built the building in the 1980s.”.

    Al-Sudani reviewed according to the statement: “a plan presented by the implementing company that includes the details of the project, as he stressed the need for it to be implemented according to the highest standards and specifications, and in a way that meets the actual need for the facility by the military institution.” He also stressed “the necessity of completing the project on the scheduled dates and in accordance with the government’s approach that "It depends on speed and accuracy in implementation.".

    The Prime Minister stated according to the statement that “the Commanding Officers Club is one of the important urban edifices,” stressing that “the keenness to implement this service and entertainment project reflects the extent of the government’s interest and care for the commanding officers, whether they are in service or retired with their families.”.

    The statement continued, "The Serbian Yugoimport Company, the same company that established the Commanding Officers Club more than three decades ago, will rehabilitate and develop it with all its facilities, which include halls, a theater, and hotel apartments, as it is a place for holding conferences and receiving official delegations."
