The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Friday, that Iraq has obtained the position of President of the 18th Annual Conference of the High Contracting Parties.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Iraq has won the position of President of the Eighteenth Annual Conference of the High Contracting Parties."
According to the statement "The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Abdul Karim Hashim Mustafa, was chosen to serve as President of the Eighteenth Annual Conference of the High Contracting Parties to the Fifth Protocol to the Convention on the Prohibition of Conventional Weapons (CCW)."
