Rashid: Targeting a security headquarters in Baghdad is a violation and transgression against the sovereignty of Iraq

President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, today, Thursday, condemned the aggression that targeted a security headquarters in Baghdad, resulting in martyrs and injuries, considering it a violation and transgression against Iraq’s sovereignty.

Rashid stated in a tweet followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “we condemn the aggression that targeted a security headquarters in Baghdad, and resulted in martyrs and wounded, as this is considered a violation and transgression against the sovereignty and security of Iraq. We also condemn the attacks that recently targeted the city of Erbil and its airport, and before that the city of Sulaymaniyah and other areas in the Kurdistan region and Iraq.”.

He added, "These repeated attacks represent a dangerous escalation that undermines security and stability in the country," adding, "We call on everyone to give priority to the supreme national interest and not allow the country, under any circumstances, to be an arena for conflicts."
