The Communications and Media Commission announced today, Thursday, the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Azerbaijan to protect civil aviation radio navigation.
The authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Chairman of the Media and Communications Authority, Ali Al-Muayyad, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Azerbaijani Minister of Transport and Digital Development, Rashad Nabiyev, in the field of FM radio frequency coordination.”.
The Commission added, "The memorandum that was signed aims to coordinate radio frequency assignments and FM frequency assignments with civil aviation radio navigation services, protect them, and create compatibility between them."
and continued, "The memorandum adopted radio regulations, the Geneva Regional Plan of 1984, and the recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union."
