Al-Mandalawi receives The Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan

Acting speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, confirmed on, Wednesday, that Iraq has regained its pivotal role after the victory over terrorism and launched the stage of openness to its regional and international environment.

 Acting speaker of the House of Representativesi Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Acting speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen al-Mandalawi received at his office today, Wednesday , The President Of The Senate Of Pakistan (Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani) and the parliamentary delegation accompanying him, in the presence of their country's ambassador to Baghdad (Muhammad Zeeshan Ahmed), deputy Ali Al-Saadi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Bahr Al-Uloom, and the head of the Department of Asia and Australia Diyari Majid”.

The statement  added that "Al-Mandalawi discussed with Sanjrani the activation of parliamentary memorandums of understanding between the two countries, and the development of cooperation in the economic, scientific, military and cultural fields, explaining the importance of this matter in upgrading the level of bilateral relations and to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples, while stressing that Iraq has recovered and its pivotal role after the victory over Daesh and launched the reconstruction phase and openness to its regional and international environment".

Al-Mandalawi reiterated his demand for" the need to take a unified Islamic position towards the genocidal massacres practiced by the Zionist entity daily against the people of Gaza Strip”, noting that "Iraq's position is firm in supporting Palestinian cause, and has been expressed at conferences Arab and Asian parliaments and regional and international forums”.

Sanjrani expressed "his optimism of al-Mandalawi's presidency of the House of Representatives and the Arab parliamentary union Acting will contribute to strengthening the foundations of cooperation with the international community”, stressing that "Iraq is the source of Islamic culture and the science complex in the world, and the number of Pakistani visitors coming to perform the religious visit is increasing continuously, announcing the granting of scholarships for Iraqi students”.
