Al-Mandalawi stresses the necessity of activating the joint agreements between Iraq and Iran

    Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, stressed the necessity of activating the joint agreements between Iraq and Iran to address some of the outstanding issues.
    A statement from the media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the parliamentary delegation accompanying him met today, Sunday, with Abdul Redha Masri, First Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council.”
    Al-Mandalawi stressed, according to the statement, “the depth of the relationship between the two neighboring countries and peoples, and the importance of strengthening it at all levels in a way that contributes to the progress and development of Iraq and Iran, and the necessity of activating joint agreements to address some outstanding issues, and cooperation in protecting the borders to enhance the security and stability of the two countries, and addressing the water issue.” In addition to raising the level of trade exchange, coordination on files of common interest, and exchanging experiences at the legislative level.”
    In turn, Abdul Reda Masri, First Vice President of the Iranian Shura Council, discussed with the Iraqi parliamentary delegation the facilitation of procedures for religious visits between the two countries, praising the Iraqi position on the Zionist crimes against the people of Palestine, and the necessity of concerted efforts of the Arab and Islamic countries to stop the aggression and displacement and bring aid to the people of the Gaza Strip.
