The Ministry of Transport announced on Monday, that an earthquake had occurred in Nineveh Governorate, near the Iraqi-Syrian border.
"The earthquake reached a magnitude of 3.5 near the Iraqi-Syrian border in the village of Tal al-Hawa, northwest of the city of Mosul," according to a statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement included, "It was felt by citizens, and the ministry did not report any significant losses."
