Ancelotti nominates his successor to lead Real Madrid

Italian Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, nominated one of the former stars of the royal team to replace him at the Santiago Bernabeu in the future.

Regarding the possibility of him coaching the Brazilian national team after the end of the current season, Ancelotti said during the introductory press conference for the Cadiz match, scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, in the La Liga competitions: “I am proud to have my name associated with the largest team in the world, but I have a contract here at Real Madrid.”He added: "Until my contract with Real Madrid expires, I will not talk about my future.".

Regarding the association of Xabi Alonso, the former Merengue star and current coach of Bayer Leverkusen, with the leadership of the capital team, Ancelotti said: “He can become coach of Real Madrid in the future, without the slightest doubt.”.

He concluded: "He can do this job. He has all the capabilities to be a good coach. I admire him and the way he leads Leverkusen. He is one of the coaches I like most.".

Leverkusen is shining in the Bundesliga under the leadership of Xabi Alonso this season, and is currently one point behind leaders Bayern Munich, who have played a match more.
Alonso was a key player in Real Madrid when Ancelotti led the team to win the Champions League in 2014.
