MOFA: We will continue our diplomatic efforts to meet the aspirations of all Iraqis

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs-MOFA confirmed on Friday, continuing its diplomatic efforts to meet the aspirations of all Iraqis.
 
“On the 99th anniversary of founding the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I extend my sincere congratulations and blessings to the Ministry’s diplomats and all those working in its HQ and in our diplomatic and consular missions around the world, and to our Iraqi people, their government, and their political leadership, on this dear national occasion,” Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
 
"The Ministry has made great efforts over decades to strengthen the status of the Iraqi State at various levels and arenas in the world, from its founding day on November 23, 1924, it played a vital role in implementing Iraq's foreign policy and defending its national interests. It has faced many and varied challenges, but it has been able to demonstrate its strength and determination in addressing these challenges and achieving national objectives in promoting political, economic, commercial, cultural and educational relations, and deepening mutual understanding and cooperation, “he added.
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs continued, according to the statement, “The Ministry sought, through its active participation in international organizations and conferences, to enhance international peace and security, adopt the values of justice, and protect human rights. It also worked to support just Arab, Islamic and global causes, and confront terrorism and extremism that threaten the stability of the region and the world.”
 
"The Ministry, with the support of the Government, has worked hard to achieve the interests and protection of national sovereignty and to strengthen Iraq's image as a State with a distinct cultural depth."
 
"On this precious national occasion, as we prepare one year later to commemorate the centenary of Iraqi diplomacy, we pledge to our great people that we will continue our diplomatic efforts towards achieving the aspirations of all Iraqis to stability and prosperity," FM Hussein affirmed.
