Iraqi school team achieves victory in Arab Championship

The Iraqi national school team defeated Algeria 1-0 in a match that took place on Monday, at the Air Defense Stadium, Cairo.

“After 13 years, the Iraqi school football team participated in the Arab Championship for School Games, which is being held in Cairo from the 20th to the 27th of this month," said the Director of school sports at the Ministry of Education and deputy head of the Iraqi delegation, Najim Aboud, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added, "The Iraqi team group includes (Libya, Palestine and Algeria), indicating that the Iraqi team achieved victory despite the difficulty of the Algerian team and seeks to win over the Palestinian team tomorrow, Tuesday, until we meet the Libyan team on Thursday, as we will advance to the semi-finals to meet the other group champion."
